Water
Water makes up more than 90% of our Toña, therefore,
excellent physical-chemical and microbiological quality of
the brewing water is essential. The purity of the water is
guaranteed by our three deep wells, a new sanitation system
and continuous lab tests .
Malt
Malt is the result of processing barley that has been cultivated
specifically for the brewer’s needs.
Our Brewmasters give special attention to selecting and mixing
the various varieties of barleys in order to guarantee the
types of malt which guarantees the unique nature of Toña.
Rice is also used, to compliment and “round” the
flavor.
Hops
Hops, a plant from the Cannabinaceae family, contributes the
delicate aroma and special bitter flavor to beer. Only the
blossoms of the female hop plants and the finest hops from
North America and Europe are used in brewing Toña.

Yeast
The type of brewers yeast used is extremely important to the
bouquet of the beer. It is a unicellular microorganism of
the fungus family that, besides converting the fermentable
sugars into alcohol and carbon dioxide, forms other substances
that are responsible for the beer’s flavor and aroma. |
